KandyDip® Miami Sunset Pearl

Original KandyDip® liquid rubber spray film

Pearl & Metallic Ready to Spray I Ready to Spray

EN: KandyDip® Liquid Car Wrap Spray Film is a multifunctional rubber coating based on thermoplastic elastomers that can be removed without leaving any residue. This product is a further development of the classic spray film variants and is designed for use in vehicle wrapping.

Note: When using red, orange or yellow solid colors, a grey z.B. RAL 7011) or white base (z.B. RAL 9003) is recommended. Red, orange or yellow solid colors can u.a. rub off on white and silver paintwork (mainly on light-colored paintwork). Please note that spray films with displaced color pigments (drop-ins or effect pigments) lose gloss compared to transparent containers. To achieve maximum gloss, the KandyDip® 2K TopCoat is applied in the required number of coats (see FAQ or KandyDip® 2K TopCoat product description) or a KandyDip® 1K TopCoat High Gloss consisting of at least two coats is applied over the color coating. The gloss level of mixed color KandyDip® spray films is approx. 60-65 GE, while the separate gloss coating achieves approx. 75-80 GE. KandyDip® 2K achieves approx. 90-95 GE.

Tip: For a fuel-resistant coating, KandyDip® 2K Top Coat (KandyDip two-component clear coat) is recommended in the gloss levels "Matt" or "High gloss". Use the Preval Sprayer and 0.25 - 0.35 liters for a complete set of rims. Please note that for the use of KandyDip® 2K at least 2 mist coats + 7.5 complete coats must be applied. UV resistance: Various pigments such as z.B. magenta, pink, violet tones are more sensitive to UV radiation and can fade despite 2K TopCoat coating. All neon colors are recommended for show purposes rather than for daily use. It is recommended to apply two to three coats of KandyDip® Liquid Rubber Transparent in the gloss grades matt or glossy over each coating. Without this additional coating, the pigment is "exposed" and unprotected from UV radiation. Depending on the pigment, this can lead to rapid loss of color.

Base color necessary! Pre-coating required! A liquid rubber base coat is mandatory for all pearl and metallic pigments. Click on the respective photo to see information about the base color used. We recommend a white base color for Ghost Pearls, for ColorShifts i.d.R. black matt is used as base color. Various Colorshifts such as z.B. 24 Karat Blue use blue as the base color. The effect changes drastically depending on the base color. The base color must be applied in two mist layers plus at least three to four film-forming layers. Only then is the pearl, metallic, ColorShift or flake coating applied.

Caution! All color tones and effect colors cannot be displayed uniformly on monitors and printers due to the different device color spaces and are only indicated by approximations!

Further detailed answers to your questions can be found on our KandyDip FAQ page as well as in the extended product description with videos on the application of all application purposes (scroll further down).

KandyDip® Liquid Car Wrap Spray Film is a multifunctional rubber coating based on thermoplastic elastomers that can be removed without leaving any residue. This product is a further development of the classic spray film variants and is designed for use in vehicle wrapping.

  • WoodProtects against splinters, moisture and prevents wear and tear
  • GlassStabilizes & strengthens glass products
  • Tools/eating utensilsStabilizes the handle and ensures an optimal grip
  • Rubber: Prevents wear and tear
  • Cardboard boxWeatherproof effect

  • For industrial use, we recommend KandyDip® industrial PUR (undiluted high-viscosity synthetic rubber)

Important processing instructions:

  • Before use, please ensure that the surface to be treated fat-free and sauber is. Only use DIPON® products manufactured for this purpose for degreasing in order to achieve maximum compatibility. As a degreaser you can use the DIPON® Surface PreClean in the spray can or the DIPON® PreCleaner in the refillable plastic bottle. Please use u.a. none Brake cleaner or silicone remover (see FAQ for other agents). As KandyDip® spray film is a solvent-based synthetic rubber formulation, the use of conventional additives from vehicle painting has a negative effect on the result.
  • Shake vigorously before use and, if necessary, warm the container to room temperature (water bath). KandyDip® liquid rubber must not be processed at a media temperature below 15°C. Ideal material temperature: approx. 18°C - 22°C.
  • The optimum processing temperature is between 15 and 24 degrees Celsius. We recommend adding 10 - 15 % DIPON® PD-100 Spray Film Thinner when using compressed air guns and at temperatures above 20°C. All spray film containers are adjusted for use with electric guns as standard. The processing viscosity is approx. 20s (DIN 4 mm 20°C).
  • The spraying distance is approx. 20-25 cm.
  • Tip: For a Fuel resistant KandyDip® 2K Top Coat (KandyDip two-component clearcoat) in the gloss levels "Matt" or "High gloss" is recommended for coating. Use the Preval Sprayer and 0.25 - 0.35 liters for a complete set of rims. Please note that at least 2 mist coats + 7.5 complete coats must be applied for the use of KandyDip® 2K.
  • UV resistance: Various pigments such as z.B. Magenta, pink and violet tones are more sensitive to UV radiation and can fade despite the 2K TopCoat coating.

Video tutorials (Partner DYC USA):

The following videos make it easier to understand how to use spray film. The DYC Dipyourcar University videos show other spray film products which should serve as a guide for KandyDip® spray film. The application of the DYC products is identical to the application of the KandyDip® spray film range. A side note: KandyDip® has had the ability to achieve a flat, smooth result in its formulation since 2015. The viscosity in combination with the unique formula allows DIY and professional users to spray the material with electric or professional RP or HVLP/LVLP systems. This distinguishes KandyDip® from other spray film products which u.U. are no longer available on the market and KandyDip® is very popular. All the products shown in the following videos can therefore be realized with KandyDip®. We have deliberately decided not to publish the KandyDip® Pro series, as this has already been achieved by adding 10-15% PD-100. The user therefore decides for himself how he wants to use the product, depending on his ability and technical equipment. Have fun!

Vehicle dipping (vehicle coating):

1. Complete step by step tutorial from the first person view (English)

In this video you will be guided through every step of the spray wrapping process. If you only watch one video before you spray paint your car (of course we recommend you watch them all), this is it!

2. How to "dip" his car for the first time? (English)

Steve has never dipped anything in his life. Join Steve as we coach him through the entire process for his first time. Steve learns how to prep, mask, spray and strip his first dipped car. This is an extremely valuable video for anyone looking to dip their car for the first time.

3. Why do some dipped cars look fantastic and others less so? (English)

Not all cars dipped with spray film are sprayed the same. The way you apply the product makes a big difference in how the end result looks and feels. In this video, we'll show you what to do and what not to do when spraying your car. Want to see properly applied dip right next to improperly applied dip? This is the video that many people need to see.
