Product description DIPON® Effect Pigments

DIPON® Effect Pigments consist of three pigment classes: Absorption pigments, pearlescent pigments and metallic effect pigments.

Absorption pigments are inorganic and organic color pigments that absorb various wavelengths of light incident on the color. Due to their irregular shape and light absorption, absorption pigments show a uniform color and shine in every direction. These pigments can be found in many RAL, HKS®, NCS®, PANTONE® and various OEM+ colors. These pigments are the real "colorants".

Metal effect pigments consist of copper/zinc, aluminum or gold flakes in different particle sizes. These pigments form a group of opaque pigments and are characterized by a correspondingly high surface gloss depending on the particle size. You will find these pigments at DIPON® under the name "Alloy Pearls".

Pearlescent pigments are semi-transparent pigments based on mineral mica, bismuth oxychloride or guanine (pearlessence, fish silver). The very impressive and well-known deep luster of pearlescent pigments is created by the light at the boundary layers (z.B. titanium dioxide/mica) which is reflected several times. These pigments are the most common in our range u.a. Solid Pearls, Ghost Pearls.

DIPON® Effect Pigments are suitable for use in powder coating, automotive and commercial vehicle painting, floor coating, plastics production, latex, silicone, leather dyeing, textile printing, interior design (z.B. For DIPON® Home Effect wall glazes), casting and laminating resins (u.a. epoxy, polyester, polyurethane etc.), nail polish and many other applications.

Dosage example:

10 - 15 grams / per 1.0 liter KandyDip® Liquid Rubber Ready to Spray

10 - 15 grams / per 1.0 liter of ready-to-spray lacquer
