Casting Model Plaster 80+ - Premium model plaster for casting & modeling in museum quality.

I. Product description

EN: DIPON® Casting Modell Plaster 80+ is a particularly high-quality, finely ground modeling and casting powder in museum quality and u.a. can be used for creative work of the highest quality. DIPON® Casting Modell Plaster 80+ is free of harmful substances, food-neutral, air-hardening, odorless and therefore also ideal for working with children. Its whiteness level of >80 ensures white castings without the additional optional addition of DIPON® Aqua Blends (water-based VOC-free tinting concentrates).

Optionally, DIPON® Aqua Blends can be used to tint DIPON® Casting Model Plaster 80+ to the desired color, whether light or dark.

DIPON® Casting Model Plaster 80+ is ecologically harmless, non-toxic, non-toxic, free of all corrosive additives and 100 % formaldehyde and solvent-free. DIPON® Casting Model Plaster 80+ impresses with its fast curing time of approx. 20 minutes, very good working time of approx. 10 minutes, very good stability and excellent deaeration. After about 30 - 40 minutes, it is possible to carefully remove the finished object from the mold and prepare it for further processing. Further processing can take place after around 36-48 hours, but not before the casting has completely dried out.

The product is intended for creative work in the hobby and professional sector, z.B. for teaching and research, handicraft and artistic reproduction, stucco and application work, model and mold making or interior restoration work. DIPON® Casting Model Plaster 80+ can be coated with u.a. epoxy or polyurethane resins, varnishes or acrylic paints. The mixing ratio of DIPON® Casting Modell Plaster 80+ for modeling is 100 grams of Casting Modell Plaster 80+ and 50-60 grams of water. For casting, a mixing ratio of 100 grams of DIPON® Casting Model Plaster 80+ and 65-70 grams of water is recommended.

II Application

Use only stainless tools and clean with water immediately after use. The ambient temperature should not fall below 4°C. Prepare the required amount of water and slowly sprinkle in DIPON® Casting Model Plaster 80+ and allow it to seep into the water. After approx. 90 to 120 seconds, mix thoroughly for approx. 2 to 4 minutes until a homogeneous, uniform mass is formed. Allow any air bubbles that have formed during mixing to rise to the surface by shaking, tapping or vibrating. It is advisable to coat the casting mold in advance with Casting Model Plaster 80+ z.B. using a brush in order to reach areas that are difficult to access and to reduce air pockets. The casting requires approx. 24 hours at room temperature to dry out completely. The casting can be removed from the mold after approx. 30-60 minutes. However, caution is required here, as the material is still drying and may be damp, and the degree of hardness has not yet been reached. The degree of whiteness increases as the material dries out. Caution: Do not pour into the toilet or other drains - risk of blockage! Do not inhale or swallow powder.

Mixing ratio: Depending on the mixing ratio, a creamy or flowable consistency can be achieved.

• Creamy consistency (for modeling) 1 part by weight powder + 0.5 - 0.6 part by weight water (z.B. 100 grams Casting Modell Plaster 80+ and 50-60 grams water)
• Flowable consistency (for molding z.B. silicone molds) 1 part powder + 0.65 - 0.7 parts water by weight (z.B. 100 grams Casting Modell Plaster 80+ and 65-70 grams water)
