Wichtige Informationen:

Allgemein werden zur Berechnung der Topfzeit standardisierte Werte genutzt. Bei schnellen Systemen wird in der Regel ein Ansatz von 200 Gramm in einem bestimmten Durchmesser und Umgebung in einem HDPE-Becher in adiabater Umgebung gemessen. Die Verarbeitungszeiten verändern sich bei Erhöhung oder Verminderung des Materialfüllstandes sowie der Umgebungs- und Materialtemperatur.

Empfehlung: Nutzen Sie vor Applikation LuminaCast 1 Fast Set Primer einmal oder mehrfach um saugfähige Untergründe und Poren dicht zu verschließen. Nach etwa 2 Stunden bei Raumtemperatur können Sie bereits mit dem Verguss des Tisches beginnen.

 * Die Verarbeitungszeit oder Topfzeit wird als der Zeitraum bezeichnet, wo das vermischte Medium eine Temperatur von 40°C erreicht. Ausgangswerte sind stets 23°C, welche die Laborbedingungen und Messungen in Mitteleuropa widerspiegeln. In Südeuropa und wärmeren Region wird in der Regel ein Wert von 25°C bei Viskosität und Topfzeit (Engl.: "Pot Life" wiedergegeben.

** Die tTMax bezeichnet die Zeitspanne zur Erreichung der maximalen Exotherme (Energiefreisetzung). Die Energie welche bei 2K EP-Systemen freigegeben wird ist deutlich vereinfacht ausgedrückt Wärme. Die Zeitspanne ist in der Regel das doppelte der Verarbeitungszeit.

*** Die Entformbarkeit bei 23 Grad Umgebungstemperatur bei der in Klammern angegeben Gießhöhe. Bei einer geringeren Gießhöhe und gleichbleibender Temperatur verlängert sich die Aushärtungszeit. Bei Zugabe von Färbemitteln kann sich die Verarbeitungszeit verlängern.

**** Die Empfohlene Mindestmischmenge um ein "Ankurbeln" der Reaktion zu erzeugen. Geringere Mischmengen können eine inhomogene Masse zur Folge haben sowie Carbamatbildung begünstigen aufgrund der offenen Standzeit und geringen Wärmeabgabe bei u.a. IPD haltigen Härtern.

***** Der Zeitpunkt ab wann ein Epoxidharz geschliffen werden kann ist abhängig vom Härtegrad. Bei einer zu weichen Oberfläche, in der Regel nach einer zu kurzen Aushärtungszeit, besteht die Gefahr das beim Schleifen durch die eintretende Wärmeentwicklung die Oberfläche nicht gleichmäßig geschliffen wird. Das Risiko einer Beschädigung ist sehr groß, da durchaus die Oberfläche noch Gummiartig resp. klebrig sein kann. Bei Professionellen Anwendern ist ein Shore D Härtemessgerät sehr hilfreich, da hierdurch die Härte gemessen werden kann. Die angegebenen Daten beziehen sich auf eine Gusshöhe (angegeben in mm) sowie die konstante Raumtemperatur (angegeben als Abkürzung RT).

Application

LuminaCast 9 Ocean Flow is accurately weighed by weight in a clean container at a mixing ratio of 2:1. A scale and two mixing cups are required to enable exact weighing and mixing. Never mix by volume, as this can lead to an incorrect result. First mix the A and B components at max. 300 revolutions/minute for approx. three to four minutes. Then pour the A+B mixture into a new clean container and mix again for three to four minutes. Scrape off some of the resin from the edges of the old container and drop it into the center of the new one. This process is important to obtain a mixture that is as homogeneous as possible.

Important notes: Mixing the transport containers (bottles / canisters) A (resin) and B (hardener) will result in incomplete curing and correspondingly incorrect results. The higher the room temperature and the larger the quantity mixed, the faster the temperature development (exothermic reaction).

LuminaCast was developed to create an unrivalled clear, UV-stabilized and self-deaerating system that is easy to handle and covers as many applications as possible, especially in the artistic field. In all formulations, special attention was paid to achieving the highest possible carbamide resistance by using state-of-the-art raw materials and adding hydrophobic additives. Furthermore, in addition to the latest UV absorbers and light stabilizers, only low-yellowing base amines in the hardener and particularly UV-resistant additives have been added to this system.
