DIPON® Dyes I Premium dyes for versatile applications

Brief description:

DIPON® Dyes are highly effective solvent dyes that are characterized by their exceptional solubility in organic solvents. These dyes provide an intense and vibrant color palette for a variety of applications and produce transparent colorations that preserve the clarity of the material. They are ideal for coloring plastics, inks, cosmetics, paints and coatings, especially in cases where water-soluble dyes cannot be used.

Properties of DIPON® solvent dyes: These dyes are non-water soluble, particularly heat resistant and offer high solubility in organic media such as alcohols, esters and ketones. They are known for their brilliant color rendering, which enables transparent and luminous effects, and are valued in a wide range of industrial applications. Compared to pearlescent or aluminum effect pigments, DIPON® Dyes require up to 40 times less addition and are therefore highly effective.

With approx. 0.1 gram of pure DIPON® Dye, you can color 1.0 kilogram of epoxy resin A+B, depending on the color shade. We offer media for our dyes with which you can dissolve them excellently and thus produce your own creations from various different colorants cost-effectively.

Areas of application:

  • Plastics: Ideal for acrylics, polystyrene and PVC, without affecting the transparency of the material.
  • Inks and printing: Use in printing inks and pens for non-paper-based media.
  • Cosmetics: Perfect for nail polishes and other cosmetic products where clarity and color brilliance are required.
  • Automotive: Coloring of fuels, oils and greases.
  • Paints and coatings: Creating transparent, bright shades in wood stains and other coatings.

DIPON® Dyes are the preferred choice for industrial and commercial applications where maximum transparency and color clarity are required due to their versatility and intense color results.

Important notes: For vehicle paintwork and other exterior applications, we recommend a UV-resistant coating to provide optimum protection for effect pigments against UV radiation.
