Advantages compared to other WB color pastes

Pigment concentration: DIPON® Aqua Blends have the maximum possible pigment concentration and are more productive than comparable WB pigments on the German and European market.
Less is more: Other WB systems require 10% of the color paste in aqueous epoxy resin systems or tile coatings (including EP systems). Aqua Blends require significantly less than half.
Weather resistance: Aqua Blends are particularly weatherproof and lightfast
Modular system: Aqua Blends consist of over 25 colors and can be reproduced in more than 10,000 colors using the DIPON® EpoTint system with color cards.

Dosing recommendations:

Recommended quantities: from 0.5% - 2.5 % according to the desired color intensity.
The exact quantity should be determined by preliminary tests in order to achieve the best possible result. Use the interactive DIPON pigment and paste calculator to determine the required quantity. A lower dosing quantity produces a pastel shade with casting compounds, chalk paints etc.. This can produce very beautiful color effects.

Important notes: When using Aqua Blends in epoxy resin systems, make sure that they are labeled as WB (water-based system), otherwise incompatibilities may occur. DIPON® Aqua Blends can be diluted with water to optimize the flow properties. Please note that adding too much water will reduce the saturation of the color. Inorganic pigments tend to accelerate polyurethane systems, compatibility tests are recommended.

Application

DIPON® Aqua Blends are added drop by drop when using casting compounds such as plaster, ceramic powder, etc. DIPON® Aqua Blends are added drop by drop until the desired saturation is achieved. Please note that u.a. with chalk paints, the saturation of the color is lightened by the binders contained in the chalk paint, resulting in a pastel tone. With all other water-based systems, you can control the color saturation by adding the Aqua Blends. A general dosage of approx. 0.5 to a maximum of 2.5 % (by weight) has proven to be sufficient. Aqua Blends can be diluted with water in pure form. The exact quantity to be added should be checked in test trials, e.g. in 5 % increments.
